Broncos’ RB Mike Anderson Injured

Denver’s #2 RB Mike Anderson sustained a potentially serious groin injury in the fourth quarter of the Broncos’ game against Houston. According to Horse’s coach Mike Shanahan, “He felt the groin pop.” This could result in significant missed time. Anderson, coming off a 120-yard performance against last Saturday, was still looking at backing up Quentin Griffin. He would primarily be used in short yardage and goal line situations. Mike’s injury means more action for Tatum Bell (still dealing with an injured finger) and opens the door some on Garrison Hearst’s career hearse. Regardless, Quentin Griffin is still #1.
