Eagles' Buckhalter Out for Season
#2 Philadelphia RB Correll Buckhalter suffered what is believed to be a season ending injury to his right knee during the 1st quarter of the Eagles’ game against the Ravens Friday night.
Buckhalter was expected to carry a significant part of the load along with #1 RB Brian Westbrook. With Rookie RB Bruce Perry already having suffered a season ending injury, the Eagles have only 2nd year RB Reno Mahe to back up Westbrook. Mahe’s 2003 stats…2 games played, 0 rushing attempts, 1 reception for 5 yards.
Watch for the Eagles to start a desperate search for another RB. (How about making an effort for Ricky Williams, or Whining Willis M.) Meanwhile, Westbrook’s value just shot up.
