Season over for Gannon?

An MRI exam revealed that Oakland Raider QB Rich Gannon suffered a fractured vertebra in his neck when he collided with Tampa Bay linebacker Derrick Brooks on Sunday. Gannon will wear a heavy neck brace for a minimum of six weeks. Gannon fractured the C-7 vertebra in the base of his neck during the collision.

Fantasy Football Analysis: First, I am sure that six weeks is a very optomistic schedule - and second, Kerry Collins is going to be very productive and hard to unseat from the starting role. We think Collins moves into a strong #2 fantasy football QB position. Pick him up for your starter's bye week - and you may find you use him the rest of the year!
