Vikings Bennett Ready to Go After Bye Week

The AP is reporting that Minnesota Vikings running back Michael Bennett was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, but a new exam on his injured knee showed he should be ready following the team's bye week.

Mike Tice said Friday. "I think it's smart to give him two more weeks to get his legs underneath him."

Onterrio Smith will make his second straight start in Bennett's place Sunday. Short-yardage specialist Moe Williams, who started the opener but sat out Monday's loss at Philadelphia with a sprained ankle, also is expected to play.

Fantasy Football Analysis: A healthy Michael Bennett doesn't mean nearly as much to fantasy football owners as it does to the success of the Vikings. Bennett is a #2-#3 back at best.
