Injuries becoming 49ers' Achilles Heel

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Julian Peterson underwent season-ending surgery on his torn left Achilles' tendon Tuesday. Playing in only four games after a lengthy contract holdout, Peterson had 2 1/2 sacks and was making his presence known. Peterson is a two time Pro Bowl selection.

Backup fullback Jasen Isom also had surgery for the same injury.

"Julian and Jasen each had surgery on their Achilles this morning and both went well," team physician Dr. Michael Dillingham said. "Each of them will be in a cast for six-to-eight weeks.

Fantasy Football Analysis: The niners' will miss Julian to be sure! Looks like Rattay will continue to get come-from-behind opportunities...
