McNair doesn't participate in walkthrough

The Tennessean reports that Titans quarterback Steve McNair traveled with the team to San Diego yesterday morning but did not take part in the walkthrough later in the day.

McNair stretched and loosened up with the trainers during a walkthrough at the University of California at San Diego.

Backup Billy Volek went through plays with the first-team offense.

A decision on McNair's status will be made a few hours prior to kickoff today.

McNair suffered a severely bruised sternum in last Sunday's loss to the Jaguars and spent two nights in the hospital. He did not practice during the week but tossed the football and did some jogging as he appeared to improve during the week.
