Post-Sunday Thoughts

With week 1 of the playoffs complete, several thoughts are rolling around ol' Docs head (probably cause there's not much else up there to stop them). Here's a few things I expect to see this weekend:.
  • More of the Jets Martin - Jordan dual running back attack. I provides them with an extra dimension needed in the playoffs, However, it does split the fantasy points.
  • The Steelers returning to their own dual running back attack, Staley - Bettis. Both have been a little dinged up so no sense having one carry the burden. The Bus will probably do more than just goal line work, spelling Staley and making him the better Fantasy Football pick of the two.
  • Antwaan Randal El is proven not to be the son of Jor-El by returning to the #3 WR position now that Plaxico Burress is back.
  • The Eagles imploding without TO.
  • Vikings RB Moe Williams on the sidelines.
  • Randy Moss in between the sidelines playing as usual, but with a lighter wallet.
Speaking of Mr. Moss, his end zone celebration once again proves how incredibly crass some of these narcissistic emotionally underdeveloped imbeciles can be. Whether it is cell phones, having you teammates act like they are taking pictures of you, or dishonoring you opponent's name with an implied full Moon rub, you only serve to show the rest of the world what a fool you are.

We try to teach our young athletes sportsmanship. We look down on a high school or college team that dances on their opponent's 50 yard line emblem. Well Randy, in one minute you complicated the life of every coach working with younger athletes. You see, they look up to you. They want to be like you. Not for the millions of dollars you make, but because they love the game, the team. So what did their idol teach them?
How about this:
  1. Respect for one's opponent, being a gracious winner, class, they all mean nothing.
  2. Teamwork means nothing as well, it's all about me.
  3. Having money and talent absolves you of any responsibility to act in a decent respectable manner.
It's too bad Ryan Longwell didn't happen to standing back there so he could have kicked you in the...Moon. Just know that for every person that thought you were the coolest thing around (unfortunately most too young to know better), there are thousands of us that think you are just an absolute...Moon.
