Those #%!*&"@$^%# Playoff Kickers

The StatLeader Playoff Kicker point projections will soon be (or have recently been) posted over on the member side. (YES, it is still free to join). Here are some important notes relative to those loveable booters.

• Only three playoff games (Sportsline.com Playoff Challenge, Superbowl.com Playoff Challenge and Best Buy Weekly Fantasy Football Playoff Challenge). Sporting News / Fox players are spared this torture.(Why do they all use the word "Challenge"?)
• Kickers are difficult to predict since they so dependant on how the offense performs. I.E. If Peyton throws 6 TDs, old Mike V. isn't going to get too many Field Goals.

In our point forcasting, we use both the players average performance pus a StatLeader Copyright special, the Fantasy Kicking Points Allowed value for the team that the kicker is going against.

• Example - Based on the Best Buy scoring system, for every 100 Fantasy kicking points allowed by an average team, the NY Jets have allowed only 65.9 this season while Saint Louis has given up 128.2.
• Why? Lots of possible reasons. In some cases teams with higher Fantasy Kicking Points do not allow as many TDs but instead force their opponent into kicking more Field Goals.

So once again, here are our best estimates of kicker performance for this week. Our advice? Pick the best one in you league and hope for a lot of stalled drives on the other guys 30 yard line.
