• Carolina Panther players are supposedly surprised by the fact that 9 of their current of former teammates are being questioned about steroids by the DEA. Not one has indicated any knowledge of any involvement by a team member in this matter. Now we are all for teamwork and togetherness, but given the fact that the feds have confiscated 256 audio tapes, computer data and medical records, couldn't we be given a slightly more believable response?

• Another NFL player has run afoul of the law. Giants DE Michael Strahan has been charged with harassment in a situation involving a domestic dispute with his wife. Strahan also had a restraining order issued against him. Unfortunately, this is the flip side of the fame and fortune involved in being an NFL star, visibility. Every detail of your life is fair game for the media. We realize you guys are only human and that some less that wonderful things are going to occasionally happen. However, you wanted the money, you wanted the fame so it's about time you grow up and develop the responsibility that must go hand-in-hand with that visibility. After all you set the example for many young fans that look up to you.
