Bucs add Depth with Veteran Receiver

TAMPA, FL - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added Ike Hillard to their receiving corps today.

The former University of Florida star signed with the Bucs after a career with the New York Giants of 368 career receptions for 4,630 yards and 27 touchdowns. At Florida, Hilliard helped the Gators win the 1996 national title. He also played in one Super Bowl with the Giants.

A durable and consistent starter (92 of 98 games), Hilliard is described by Bucs coach Jon Gruden as "...a versatile player... a guy we are really going to lean on."

Analysis: After seeing how many players were lost last season - depth can be the difference between first and worst.
