Ravens Target Late October for Boller Return

Baltimore Ravens' quarterback Kyle Boller is likely to be out until the end of October with his injured right toe.

Team officials said Tuesday that Boller will not require surgery on the toe, but will need at least another three weeks to heal. The earliest he could return is Oct. 16 against the Cleveland Browns. But it's more likely he would be back Oct. 23 against the Chicago Bears or Oct. 31 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Boller, who was on crutches and wearing a cast Tuesday at the team's training complex, got a second opinion on Monday from the North Carolina foot specialist.

Boller was injured in the 24-7 season opening loss to the Indianapolis Colts on a sack by defensive tackle Larry Triplett. Anthony Wright started Sunday in a 25-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans and remains a fantasy football question-mark to say the least!
