49ers To Start Ken Dorsey vs Bucs

Ken Dorsey, the 49ers' No. 3 quarterback eight days ago, will start against the NFL's top-ranked defense in place of injured rookie QB Alex Smith. Smith missed practice again Thursday with strained ligaments in his right knee, and coach Mike Nolan said that means Dorsey will start and see his first action of the season against Tampa Bay.

Fantasy Football Impact: It's going to be another tough week for the 49ers. Dorsey either does very well - or very poor. In his last 4 games he had two QB Ratings below 50 (46.5 and 26.7) and two in the 90's (92.5 and 99.0). If the "good" Ken Dorsey shows up, don't be surprised if the Niners play a little more like they did against St. Louis and Dallas, and a little less like they did against the Eagles and the Redskins.
