Denver Broncos Suspend Brandon Marshall

The Broncos suspended wide receiver Brandon Marshall, a move announced in a one-line press release.

• "The Denver Broncos have suspended wide receiver Brandon Marshall for conduct detrimental to the club."

There was no word on how long the suspension will last. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the ban is effective for the preseason and the team will consider allowing him to play at the start of the regular season if he stops agitating.

Marshall, in remarks on ESPN last night, said his actions at Wednesday's practice were "an error in judgment" when he was disruptive and punted a ball away. He did not practice on Thursday.
